HOSA is a global student-led organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Department of Health and Human Services and several federal and state agencies. HOSA’s mission is to empower HOSA-Future Health Professionals to become leaders in the global health community, through education, collaboration, and experience. HOSA actively promotes career opportunities in the health industry and to enhance the delivery of quality health care to all people. Each year our group competes at the state level and national level in a variety of competitive events and throughout the year we organize fundraising and volunteer opportunities. HOSA is 100% healthcare!
COMMITMENT: Members must actively attend most meetings, participate in volunteer and fundraising events, and participate in our State Leadership Competition in the Spring.
Lettering and Cord Requirements
Be a paid member of East Ridge HOSA for at least one year
Attendance
Present for at least 80% of club meetings in one year
HOSA Hours
Have 15 HOSA hours by attending ER HOSA fundraisers and ER HOSA sponsored volunteering events
Active role in a committee by giving ideas for events, helping plan events, and participating in said events.
Compete in at least 2 competitive events at the Spring Leadership conference OR obtain an additional 5 hours of ER HOSA sponsored fundraising/volunteer event.
