Aaron Peterson
Varsity Head Coach
Aaron Peterson has been the Head Coach of the East Ridge Boys Lacrosse program since the 2022 season.
Aaron is originally from Wayzata, where he played High School lacrosse and won the “Mr. Lacrosse-Goalie” award. He spent a year playing at University of Minnesota: Duluth before transferring and then playing for the Gophers where he was awarded "Second Team all-conference". He graduated in 2020.
Aaron was the Defensive Coordinator for St. Louis Park’s Varsity for 2 years before transitioning to Assistant Coach for East Ridge JV in 2021. In the summer he coaches with the Minnesota Athletic Club where he is the Director of Boy’s Lacrosse.
Amar Batra – Varsity Assistant Coach
The 2022 season was Amar's first year as a Varsity Assistant coach at East Ridge. He hails from Wayzata, Minnesota, where he previously coached as the Varsity offensive coordinator. Amar attended the University of Minnesota where he was the captain of the Men’s Lacrosse Team and went on the become the all-time leading scorer in Gopher history. He also received a plethora of awards including Offensive Player of the year, 1st team all-conference attack, 3rd team All-America and was also a 2-time Scholar Athlete. During the summer Amar continues coaching lacrosse for the Minnesota Athletic Club.
Brian Tsang - Varsity Assistant Coach
The 2019 season was Brian’s first year as a Varsity Assistant coach at East Ridge. Brian is a 2008 graduate of Marmion Academy in Aurora, IL where he was a senior captain and an all-conference selection. Graduated from Benedictine University in Lisle, IL where he helped the club program become a D-III program. Brian moved to MN in 2018 and has been coaching in Eden Prairie at both the youth and High School level. Brian has also coached with Aaron Peterson at Twin Cities Lacrosse in the Summer.
Michael Catterall – JV Head Coach
Michael is a 2009 graduate from Woodbury High School where he played 3 years of varsity lacrosse. After high school Michael attended St. Cloud State University, where he played for a short time before taking a break to focus on school. Michael has since graduated from St. Cloud and works at Oltman Middle School as a 7th grade Social Studies Teacher. In addition to coaching lacrosse at East Ridge, Michael has also coached for Woodbury United Lacrosse and MAC.
